Founder
Sandra Epps is an inspirational author, artist and professional face and body painter. She established Sandy's Land in 2005 with the self publishing of her first children's book, "Imani Has The Most Exciting Dream!" that introduces young readers to the power of affirmation and gently explains lupus to a child.
Sandy's Land LLC is an entertainment service where the mission is to 'Party with a Purpose'. After three near deaths experiences due to lupus Ms. Epps decided to make a full career of inspiring women and girls to the "Love the Skin They're In!"
Sandy's Land LLC conduct art parties, sells inspirational books, accessories, apparel and host the Detroit Doll Show which is the largest doll show of its kind.
Pillow Paint Parties
Sandy's Land LLC host pillow paint parties for children and adults. We provide images of women with various hairstyles such as Afros, Locs, Head-wraps, Braids and Afro-puffs to celebrate the beauty of women of various ethnic background, in addition, we provide abstract and seasonal designs such as butterflies,hearts and snowmen are included. All of the designs include inspirational titles such as: Spread Love, "Let Your Light SHINE!", Vision, "I Am Magic", Naturally BEaUtiful and Queen just to name a few.
Detroit Doll Show
The Detroit Doll Show was established in 2011. The mission is to celebrate history, culture, self-love and diversity with the promotion of black dolls. Our Doll Show bring in up to 50 vendors that include doll makers and manufactures from around the globe. The Detroit Doll Show also includes children authors and fine artists with unique handmade items that provide product of positive black imagery.
This Annual event has a full program that includes the doll look-a-like contest, workshops, arts & crafts, photo doll box, panel discussion, hands-on games, photo booth, live music provided by a DJ, and the Doll Legacy Award for individuals who have or are doing great things to uplift people in their community,
The Detroit Doll Show bring out over 1400 attendees.
